Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how No Makeup ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the No Makeup mobile application and related services (the "Service").
1. Information We Collect
- Account information: If you choose to sign in, we collect your Sign in with Apple identifier and limited profile information (such as email and name when provided by Apple). You may also use the app without creating an account.
- Photos and face data: When you use the makeup removal feature, you select photos containing your face. These photos are sent to a third-party AI service for processing. We do not extract, collect, or store facial geometry, biometric identifiers, face maps, or any other face recognition data. The photos are used solely to generate the AI-transformed result image.
- Purchase information: Subscription status and transaction metadata managed by Apple StoreKit. We do not have access to your payment details.
- Technical data: Basic diagnostics and app usage information used for reliability and security.
2. How We Use Information
- Provide core app functionality, including AI-based photo transformation (makeup removal).
- Authenticate users and maintain account state (when signed in).
- Validate subscriptions and restore purchases.
- Improve app quality, fix bugs, and prevent abuse.
3. User Consent for Data Processing
Before your photo is sent to Google Gemini AI for processing, the app displays a consent prompt that clearly explains: what data will be sent (your selected photo), who it will be sent to (Google Gemini AI), that no facial biometric data is collected, and that your photo is not stored on any server. You must explicitly agree before any photo data is transmitted. You may decline, and no data will be sent.
4. Face and Photo Data
No Makeup processes photos containing faces to provide the AI makeup removal feature. Here is how your face and photo data is handled:
- What we collect: We do not collect, store, or extract any facial biometric data, facial geometry, face maps, or face recognition data. The only data involved is the photo you choose to upload for processing.
- How photos are processed: Your selected photo is sent to Google's Gemini API (a generative AI service by Google) for real-time processing. The API returns a modified version of the image with makeup digitally removed. No intermediate face data is created or stored during this process.
- Third-party processing: Photos are transmitted to Google Gemini API solely for the purpose of generating the makeup-removed result. Google processes the image according to their Gemini API Terms of Service and Gemini API Additional Terms. According to Google's terms, data sent through the paid Gemini API is not used to train their models. Google does not permanently store your photos or face data submitted through the API. Input data may be temporarily processed in memory for the duration of the API request and is not retained by Google after the response is returned. Google does not extract, store, or use any facial biometric data, facial geometry, or face recognition data from photos processed through the Gemini API.
- No server storage: We (No Makeup) do not operate our own servers for photo storage or processing. Photos are sent directly from your device to Google's API and the result is returned directly to your device. We do not retain, copy, or store your photos on any server we control. Google does not permanently store your photos after processing the API request.
- Local storage: Processed results and original photos may be saved locally on your device (in the app's history feature) at your discretion. This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to us or any third party. You can delete all locally stored data at any time by using the "Delete Account" feature in the Profile tab, or by deleting the app.
5. Data Sharing
We may share limited data with the following service providers that help operate the app:
- Apple: Sign in with Apple authentication and App Store subscription billing.
- Google (Gemini API): Photo processing for AI makeup removal. Photos are sent to Google's API and processed in real-time. Google does not permanently store your photos or face data after processing. Google does not extract or store facial biometric data from API requests.
- Firebase (Google): User authentication services.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data or photos for third-party advertising or marketing purposes.
6. Data Retention
- Photos: We do not retain your photos on any server. Photos sent to Google Gemini API are processed in real-time; Google does not permanently store your photos or any face data after the API request is completed. No facial biometric data is retained by either us or Google. Locally saved results on your device are retained until you delete them, delete your account, or uninstall the app.
- Account data: Your account information is retained in Firebase Authentication for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time using the "Delete Account" feature in the app's Profile tab.
- Purchase data: Subscription and transaction records are managed by Apple and retained according to Apple's policies.
7. Account Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data directly within the app by navigating to Profile > Delete Account. This action will:
- Permanently delete your Firebase Authentication account.
- Remove all locally stored transformation history (photos and metadata).
- This action cannot be undone.
Note: Deleting your account does not automatically cancel active subscriptions. To cancel a subscription, go to your Apple ID settings on your device.
8. Your Rights and Choices
- You can use the core features of the app without creating an account.
- You can stop using the app at any time.
- You can manage subscription billing in your Apple ID settings.
- You can delete your account and all associated data from within the app.
- You can contact us to request information about your data or exercise your privacy rights.
9. Security

10. Children
The Service is not intended for children under the minimum age required by applicable law (13 in the US, 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect data from children without required parental consent.
11. International Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries different from your own. Specifically, photos are processed by Google's Gemini API which operates in Google's data centers globally.
